Extended Uppers are longer than standard to accommodate the wider base of 10 & 12 foot step ladders and other specialty ladders. Available for standard/low roof van applications.

The wide set feet on 10 foot and longer step ladders and certain other ladder types are simply too wide for both legs to be correctly supported on the rack.

This means that one leg of the ladder will be hanging off the side and is likely resting on the driveshaft.

Carrying a ladder in this manner will, over time, damage both the ladder and the ladder rack, shortening the lifespan of both products.
